listen: Wilder Maker, “Letter of Apology”

NYC band, and also our longtime favourite, Wilder Maker is releasing their second album, Male Models on July 29 from Western Vinyl. The record has collaborations with members of Dirty Projectors and Mutual Benefits, lending lead vocals to their warm, alternative guitar sounds.

The first single from the album, “Letter of Apology” however is led by the frontman Gabriel Birnbaum himself. The Velvet Underground style production feels sound nostalgic and welcoming, giving listeners a little hug with a bit of deprecating humour. Listen below.

While you’re at it, do check out Birnbaum’s solo effort, which is an absolutely beautiful meditation record that make you forget time.
